Before reaching the Sri Rangammal memorial, we have other important places of worship.The first God we come across is Lord Vinayaga. Devotees perform poojas here. No undertaking, whether sacred or secular, can get started without first honoring and worshipping him. This is understandable and highly desirable, since he is said to be the lord of obstacles. Nothing can succeed without his grace.
After this, people move on to the Sri Venkatasa Perumal or Vishnu temple. He is the Lord of balance and harmony, which is an essential quality for us. People perform special poojas here and then proceed to the memorial.
Here at the memorial, before starting the main poojas at the Sri Rangammal we come across few other deities. There is a small Vinayaga temple at the backyard of the memorial. After performing poojas here, we pass through the mud-hive where the godess Renuka Devi is worshipped. A big well is located adjacent to the vinayaka temple.
Sri Rangammal is the personification of all wealth, powers, and beauty and virtues. It is she who bestows wealth both material and spiritual, dispels difficulties, and annihilates the evil ones. Her beauty as well as her valor, is incomparable. She is also the Goddess of fortune.
Then, we go to the fully furnished marriage hall, which comprises of two deities Angala Parameswari and RenukaDevi. People fervidly submit their prayers before these two deities and then proceed to the main altar.
