Worship of Kula Deity:

Sri Rangammal is the personification of all wealth, powers, and beauty and virtues. It is she who bestows wealth both material and spiritual, dispels difficulties, and annihilates the evil ones. Her beauty as well as her valor, is incomparable. She is also the Goddess of fortune.

Here is the history of Sri Rangammal:

The family of Sri Rangammal is believed to have migrated from Andhra Pradesh to Tamil Nadu in the eighteenth century. Our history begins in the Kammavarpatti, which is situated near Chennimalai/Erode district in Tamilnadu India.

Birth of Sri Rangammal:

Sri Rangammal was born to the Namboorar Kondama Naidu and Mangamma. She appeared divine and possessed divinely traits and bewitching beauty. She was a divinely child and 'Rangu' means 'beauty'.

Upbringing:

She lost her mother when she was six months old .She was brought up with all love and affection by her father and paternal grandmother. Even as a child,Sri Rangammal was interested in listening to the stories from Puranas and Ithihasas. At this stage she once happened to witness Goddess Renuka Devi in the form of a serpent.
When she was nine years old, she wanted her father to re-marry, so that she will have a mother at home. Eventhough her father refused initially, after great persuasion he latter married Konamma from the Dugginnar family. In the beginning Konnama treated the girl as her own child and looked after her in a motherly way. This cordial relationship did not last long. The interference of 'Karma' is evident here, at this stage of Sri Rangammal's life. The hard times of Sri Rangammal began with every little action being found fault with.
During her critical times, she prayed to goddess Renuka Devi and Angala Parameswari for moral support. In one of her dreams, God appeared and told her that the purpose of her birth was not yet fulfilled and that she would always be by her side. After this, Sri Rangammal gained confidence.

Marriage:

When the girl grew to a maid, at her 16th year, Kondama Naidu thought about her marriage. Bhimarppa Gothra,Dugginnar Vamsa Narappa Naidu's son Pera Naidu was married to Yeatutla Gothra,Namburar vamsa Kondama Naidu's daughter Sri Rangammal.Pera Naidu was the brother of Konnamma. This was the result of persistent nagging from the Konnama. The marriage was held with elaborate preparations and grandeur.
